Psychiatric care in Salem

Adult care for the capital and beyond.

Salem is Oregon's capital and a city of working professionals — state employees, healthcare workers, teachers, and Willamette University students — many of whom have struggled to find psychiatry with actual openings. Our Salem office was designed to close that gap, with reserved new-patient appointments every week and a typical two-week wait.

We regularly see patients referred by primary care at Salem Hospital, Salem Clinic, and Kaiser, as well as self-referrals from Keizer, Independence, Monmouth, Silverton, Dallas, and Woodburn. The most common reasons adults come in: a first adult ADHD evaluation, depression that hasn't responded to one or two SSRIs, anxiety making work or school untenable, and second opinions on complicated medication regimens.

Our approach is clinician-led and unhurried. Follow-ups are timed to how you're actually feeling — every 2 weeks during a medication change, every 3 months once you're stable. We accept nine insurance plans common in the Mid-Willamette Valley, and we verify benefits before your first appointment so there are no billing surprises.
