What we treat

Focused care for the conditions we know best.

We are an adult outpatient psychiatric practice. Keeping the scope narrow is what lets us treat these conditions carefully rather than superficially.

Adult ADHD evaluation and treatment

  • Inattentive
  • Hyperactive
  • Combined
  • Diagnosed as an adult

Many adults with ADHD were missed in childhood, or diagnosed and then lost care in the shuffle of college, moves, and insurance changes. We pick up where that thread dropped.

What an evaluation looks like

A comprehensive diagnostic interview, validated rating scales (ASRS, WURS), developmental history, and screening for the conditions that mimic or accompany ADHD.

Treatment options

Stimulant medication in the methylphenidate and amphetamine classes, non-stimulants including atomoxetine, viloxazine, bupropion, and guanfacine, and referrals for skills-based coaching.

Depression and anxiety

  • Major depression
  • Generalized anxiety
  • Panic

Major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and persistent low mood are the most common reasons adults see us. Treatment is evidence-based rather than guesswork.

Who this is for

Adults who have tried therapy alone, felt an SSRI stop working, or never started medication because they wanted a real conversation with a psychiatric clinician first.

How we work

We take time on the first medication choice, use measurement-based care with PHQ-9 and GAD-7, and adjust on clear intervals. We coordinate with your therapist.

PTSD and trauma

  • PTSD
  • Complex trauma
  • Acute stress
  • Nightmares & sleep

Post-traumatic stress takes more than one shape. Some patients come in after a single identifiable event. Others carry the slow accumulation of years: childhood adversity, intimate-partner harm, or repeated occupational exposure. Both are treatable.

How an evaluation looks

A trauma-informed history that does not require reliving the worst of it on day one. PCL-5, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and a careful sleep history, with screening for what often travels alongside trauma.

What medication can and cannot do

Medication will not process what happened. It can quiet hyperarousal, restore sleep, reduce nightmares, and lift the depression that often sits on top of PTSD, which is what makes trauma-focused therapy possible.

Pace

Stabilization first: sleep, safety, and day-to-day functioning. Deeper work is paced by you.

Coordination

We work alongside trauma-informed therapists and will help you find one if you do not already have one.

Psychiatric medication management

  • Transfer of care
  • Ongoing follow-up

For patients already stable on medication who want a thoughtful, unhurried clinician rather than a new prescriber every six months.

Visit length

Initial evaluations are unhurried. Follow-ups are scheduled with adequate time for medication review and discussion.

Frequency

Your first follow-up is about a week after the initial visit, every two weeks while a dose is being adjusted, then monthly once you are stable.

Between visits

Secure portal messaging. Urgent issues are triaged within one business day.

Prescriptions

Sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose, usually the same day.
