Psychiatric access in the Pacific Northwest is uneven in a way that has little to do with need. The Portland and Puget Sound metros hold most of the region’s prescribers, while several Oregon counties have no practicing psychiatric prescriber at all and much of Eastern Washington is federally designated a mental health professional shortage area. The practical result is familiar to anyone who has tried to get an appointment outside a major metro: a three-to-six month wait, a long drive, or both.

Telehealth removes the geography from the equation. Because our clinicians hold active licenses in both Oregon and Washington, the only requirement is that you are physically located in one of those two states at the time of your appointment — not that you live near an office. Availability is the same whether you are in downtown Portland or a small town on the coast.

The city pages below exist because local details still matter: which insurance plans dominate in your area, whether there is an office within driving distance, what the referral landscape looks like. But the care itself, and the wait to get it, does not change based on your zip code.
