MindHealth Psychiatry provides online psychiatry to adults anywhere in Oregon. You need to be physically located in Oregon at the time of your visit — nothing else. We treat adult ADHD, depression, anxiety, and PTSD with medication management, accept most major Oregon commercial plans, and typically see new patients within about a day. We do not accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP) or Medicaid.
This is the question we're asked most, so here's the straight answer. Federal telemedicine flexibilities permitting DEA-registered clinicians to prescribe Schedule II–V controlled medications by audio-video telehealth — without a prior in-person exam — have been extended by the DEA and HHS through December 31, 2026, while permanent rules are finalized.
In practice, that means a stimulant can be prescribed after an online evaluation when it is clinically appropriate. What it does not mean is a prescription on demand. We do a real diagnostic evaluation first — history, rating scales, screening for conditions that mimic or accompany ADHD — and we check the Oregon Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. Sometimes the right first step is labs, records, or a non-stimulant instead.

Oregon requires most commercial health plans to cover telehealth services comparably to in-person care, which means a video visit typically costs you the same specialist copay as sitting in our office — commonly $20–$60 depending on your plan and deductible. We bill your insurer directly and verify your specific benefits before the first appointment.
We do not accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Medicaid, or CCO plans. Self-pay rates are available by phone, and we provide superbills on request.
Access to adult psychiatric care in Oregon is uneven — several counties have no practicing psychiatric prescriber at all, and waits of three to six months are common outside the Portland metro.
